How to measure your finger

Measuring Method 1

  1. Measure one of your rings: Take a ring that fits you well, place it on top of a ruler, and match the diameter in millimeters to the circumference in millimeters using the sizing table(below):

Place a ring that you own and that fits you well on a ruler. Align the inner edge of one side of the ring with the 0 mark and see how many millimeters it reaches on the inner edge of the other side.

-If you measured in inches, convert the inches to millimeters online.

-The millimeters you get when measuring the ring will be the diameter.

On the page, the measurements are listed in millimeters of circumference. In the table below, you’ll see six columns: the two on the left are measurements (circumference and diameter), and the other four are location references.

For example, if your diameter measurement is 18 mm, look for 18 in the diameter column and check the value next to it — that will give you the circumference measurement, e.g., 57.

Measuring Method 2

Prepare Materials:

  • A strip of paper or a piece of string.
  • A pen or pencil.
  • A ruler or tape measure.
Measure Your Finger:

  • Step 1: Cut a strip of paper about 10 cm long and 1 cm wide, or use a piece of string.
  • Step 2: Wrap the strip of paper or string around the widest part of your finger where you want the ring to sit, usually at the joint. Ensure it’s snug but not too tight.
  • Step 3: Mark the point where the strip overlaps or where the string meets with a pen or pencil if using paper. If using string, note the point where it overlaps.
  • Step 4: Measure the length from the edge of the paper strip or string to the marked point using a ruler or tape measure. Record the measurement to the nearest millimeter and round up if necessary.
  • Step 5: Use the measurement to find your ring size on a ring size chart.

Circumference:

The millimeters you obtained on the ruler after following the instructions on the previous paragraf.

Diameter:

Ring diameter refers to the internal distance across the ring, crucial for ensuring a perfect and comfortable fit.
